Info: Seto Kaiba's twin sister falls in love with Marik Ishtar and agrees to help him. Not a Mary-Sue fic! MarikxOC, not Yami Marik. Rated M as there will be some raping involved with my character and Yami Marik, though.
In a city known as Domino City there was a huge commotion going on that night. Yugi and the gang had just rescued their friend Mai who was being abducted by this man who had this huge crush on her. As the group was walking around it started getting late at night, then suddenly from out of nowhere a helicopter flew up through the air. Then a monitor cut on overhead of them on one of the buildings. Seto Kaiba leaned out of the copter to make an announcement to everyone down below. His twin sister Alison looked up at him from down below, "Oh dear! I hope he doesn't fall from there," she gasped. She thought her brother was being rather reckless, but that's the way he always was.
"Don't forget to register cause in five hours from now the Battle City tournament begins," Kaiba announced.
Alison sighed, shaking her head, "He's really embarrassing me." She watched as Kaiba got back inside, closing the door.
"This duel sounds like something I need to get in on. That way I can kick Kaiba's butt," says Joey. He had this huge grin on his face. He couldn't wait to get a hold of Kaiba and anyone could tell it by the look on his face. He looked very excited.
The group went to the registration office to sign up for the tournament. Yugi needed to sign up for the tournament in order to save the world. He didn't know what awaited him in this tournament, but he did know he needed to enter it to fulfill his destiny. The other day he'd met with a woman who called herself Ishizu Ishtar. She'd had a millennium item just like him. She had an item called the Millennium Necklace.
With that necklace, Ishizu could see into the past and the future. When he and Tea had gone to the museum the other day, she'd told the pharaoh about his ancient past. She'd also said a great evil would strike again and it would be up to him to stop it. The only issue being, Ishizu didn't quite know what that evil was, only that it was coming soon.
As soon as they entered the building, which was ran by Kaiba Corp the clerk at the counter saw Alison and questioned her, "Oh, Ms. Kaiba, good evening. What brings you down here today?" All of Kaiba's employees knew both her and Mokuba and knew they're Kaiba's siblings.
"My friends here would like to sign up for the Battle City Tournament," Alison grinned. She'd already been pre-registered a few days ago for the tournament. Being Kaiba's twin sister she'd been given a prototype duel disk from her brother and entered directly into the computer's database right away. It was actually within a few hours after her brother had decided to hold the tournament that she'd been entered into it.
"What are their names?" The man asked. He pulled the computer's keyboard up to himself.
"I'm Yugi Muto," Yugi told him. He walked up to the counter as he said his name, so the man could see him. Though he had to lean over the counter a bit to see him. Yugi was a bit short for his age, so he didn't even come up above the counter.
"Let's see… Yugi Muto. Ah! Here you are. See this?" He turned the computer so Yugi could see his picture though it was actually Yami Yugi on the screen. Next to his picture was his Dark Magician card and five stars underneath that. "This shows your rarest card and your duelist level. Five stars, not bad. That's the highest score yet."
"Hey, what's it say about me, Joey Wheeler?" Joey pushed his way up to the counter, an excited look on his face.
"Hmm, Joey Wheeler," he looked up Joey's name. "Sorry, your duelist level is much too low to enter."
"What! Let me see that," Joey looked at the screen. "What! Only two stars! How can this be? I placed second in the Duelist Kingdom finals! Damn that Kaiba! He did this on purpose! Just wait until I get my hands on him!"
"Calm down Joey," Yugi grabbed onto his friend when it seemed like Joey wanted to punch the man's lights out for not letting him enter.
"Hey! This is my friend wanting to enter you know! You either let him into the tournament or I'll see to it that you're fired!" Alison demanded. Now she was getting angry as well. "Hey! Aren't you listening to me? I said, let my friend into this tournament or you'll regret it."
The man hadn't heard her there for a minute. He instead was paying attention to the card next to Joey's picture. 'The Red Eyes Black Dragon! Master Marik will want to know about this.' He then turned to Alison. "Oh! I'm sorry. Please forgive me, Ms. Kaiba. I'll enter him into the tournament right away. But you do know your brother won't be too pleased about this right?"
"You let me deal with Seto, okay," she ordered.
"As you wish. There, now are any more of you entering?"
"No thank you. Dueling's not really our thing," Tea stated. She, Tristan and Duke decided to stay out of this and just be there to help support their friends and cheer them along.
"All entered and you both get one of these." He pulled down two boxes from the shelves behind him. "Kaiba Corp's newest duel disk technology." He handed one box to Yugi and the other one to Joey. The group thanked him and left the store. Right after they left the man pulled out his cell phone. Turned out he was really a rare hunter and worked for Marik, a man who was after Yugi's millennium puzzle so he could be pharaoh and wanted revenge for what happened to him in the past. The rare hunter dialed Marik's number. "Sir, the boy with the Red Eyes just left. What do you want me to do?"
"What do you think? Have him followed of course and take it from him," Marik ordered.
"As you wish sir." He hung up on his master and contacted a rare hunter telling him the plans and sending him after Joey with a few other goons as well.
"I have to get home and prepare for the tournament tomorrow. What are you all going to do?" Alison asked them all. Tea, Tristan and Duke were going home. They didn't need to prepare since they hadn't entered, but it was starting to get a bit late.
"I need to prepare as well," Yugi told her.
"And I need to go see my sister at the hospital. She's going to have her surgery tomorrow morning and I promised I'd be there for her," stated Joey. His sister was going blind and needed to have an eye surgery. Joey had entered the Duelist Kingdom tournament to win the prize money for her surgery. He'd lost but Yugi had given him the prize money for Serenity's surgery. Yugi had only entered to save his grandfather and Alison's brothers, who had gotten their souls stolen by Pegasus. The man was the creator of Duel Monsters and had been the one running the tournament. Plus, he had a millennium item as well, the Millennium Eye, which allowed him to seal up souls and look into people's minds.
"Well, I guess I'll be seeing you all at the tournament then," Alison smiled, waving to her friends and made her way back home to the Kaiba mansion.
As for Joey, he left heading towards the hospital at a run. He had to hurry or he'd be late and that's something he wanted to avoid at all costs. If he were late Serenity would never forgive him. As he ran though, he ran into these goons in capes. "Uh… excuse me." He tried to push passed them but they wouldn't let him through. "Hey! What's the big deal pal?"
"If you want to get passed us you'll have to defeat me in a duel," the rare hunter known only as Seeker told him.
"I don't have time for this. I'm running late to meet someone. Now get out of my way," Joey ordered. He tried to move passed the rare hunters, but they wouldn't let him through. Seemed he had no choice but to accept the duel after all.
The duel started, both dualists strapping their dualist disks to their arms. It was agreed they've each go by the new rules, putting up their rarest card as the prize. Joey ended up going first. "I'll play Panther Warrior in attack mode." He then ended his turn.
"It's my turn now. I play this monster face down in defense mode." Seeker placed his card face down in defense mode so that Joey didn't know what he was playing. The rare hunter then ended his turn and it went back to Joey.
"I'll send out my Panther Warrior in attack mode and I'll also play the magic card Scapegoat." As Joey played the card, four tiny goats appeared on his side of the field. They looked like four little tiny puffballs in four different colors. "My Panther Warrior can't attack unless I sacrifice a monster first, which is why I used the magic card Scapegoat. This means my monster will be able to attack four times altogether." Joey sacrificed one of the Scapegoats and had his monster attack Seeker's face down monster, defeating it.
When it was Seeker's turn again he played the Graceful Charity magic card to draw three more cards, then discarded two and played another monster face down in defense. What was the deal with this guy? Why was he only playing defenses each turn? Something about this didn't seem quite right.
At this rate it seemed the duel would go on forever. Joey knew he was going to be very late getting to the hospital. He pictured his sister crying and wondering where he was, "Listen here pal, there's someone out there who needs my help. So I'm going to have to end this duel soon. And this card may just do the trick. I play Alligator Sword in attack mode. And I'll also sacrifice another Scapegoat so my Panther Warrior can attack again."
Joey's monster attacked Seeker's face down monster and destroyed it. But why was he grinning? His monster had just been wiped out. Unknown to Joey, he was being led right into the rare hunter's trap. However, Joey, being Joey of course had no idea at all. He just thought this guy had no good cards in his deck to attack him with.
"Why don't you just quit! You can't beat me. Especially if all you're going to do is play defenses during the entire duel. Now, according to the new rules, when you don't have any monsters out on the field I can attack your life points directly. So, Alligator Sword, attack his life points." Joey's monster attacked the rare hunter, bringing his life points down to 2500.
"Is that what you think huh? Well, it's my turn and I'll play another Graceful Charity and draw three more cards." The rare hunter drew his cards. 'This fool has no idea I've been leading him on this whole time. He may think he's winning but after one more turn he'll be in for a surprise when I wipe out all his life points.' He then discarded two cards because he was holding too many in his hand and the rules stated he could only hold five cards in his hand. Then he played another monster in defense mode once again.
Joey then yawned at Seeker's tactics. "Another lame brain move. I guess I must be so good that all you can do is defend against me. Seems I have you running scared here. It was a waste of your time and mine to even challenge me to this here duel."
"We'll see," says the rare hunter.
"Oh, we will alright!" Joey drew a card as it was his turn again. His eyes sparkled as he drew just the card he needed. He'd drawn his Red Eyes Black Dragon. Then he remembered the new rules say he has to sacrifice two monsters in order to summon a monster like his Red Eyes. "Now according to the new rules I sacrifice both my Panther Warrior and my Alligator Sword to summon my Red Eyes Black Dragon." Both monsters on the field vanished and the Red Eyes took their place.
Joey then grinned, "So, you wanted to see my Red Eyes huh. Well, here it is. Red Eyes Black Dragon, attack his face down monster." His dragon attacked the face down card, sending it to the graveyard. "Now, unless you start attacking me I'll finish you off in my next move."
"You're the one whose about to lose," Seeker told him.
"Uh… say what?" Joey cuffed his ear in his hand acting like he didn't quite get the meaning of what he just heard.
"I've been leading you on this entire time. Now I'm about to show you why you shouldn't mess with the rare hunters." It was Seeker's turn and he drew what he needed. "I now summon Exodia the Forbidden One."
Joey didn't look too good after he heard that. "No! Not Exodia!"
The creature appeared on the field as Seeker placed all five cards on his duel disk. "Exodia, Obliterate!" As he said that, Exodia let loose its attack onto Joey, wiping out his Red Eyes and all of his life points. The force of the blow sent him crashing onto the ground where he blacked out and the rare hunters took his Red Eyes away from him, leaving him lying there unconscious.
While elsewhere, Alison was having a rumble with her twin brother, for allowing Joey to enter his tournament. "He's my friend Seto! I know how you feel, but Joey has every right to be in this tournament. I've seen him play in Duelist Kingdom. He's a great duelist!"
"Spare me! Wheeler's an amateur duelist and I won't have him in my tournament. But now, I guess I have no choice since he's already registered in the data banks," stated Kaiba. Mokuba was actually in the living room where the argument was taking place. He didn't know what to say, not wishing to become involved. He knew his brother was a bit stressed, having to get things ready for the tournament. Kaiba had barely got much sleep the past few days, trying to prepare things.
"You're a jerk Seto!" She reached out and slapped him across his smart-ass face. Acting on reflex, Kaiba actually slapped her back, sending her falling to the floor, where she sobbed.
Mokuba gasped, "Seto!" Shocked by his brother's actions.
"I hate you Seto!" Alison cried. She got up and ran from the room before Kaiba could say anything else. Right away Kaiba had regretted what he'd just done. He'd reacted in anger, not thinking first at all. The slap just happened before he'd realized what was going on.
"Seto, that was uncalled for!" Mokuba yelled. He was a bit angry as well. "I realize you've been working hard the past week, but that's no reason to take it out on Alison."
"You're right Mokuba. I wasn't thinking straight. I'll go apologize right away." Kaiba went to tell his sister how sorry he was and he'd accept Joey in his tournament if it made her happy. However, he couldn't find her anywhere. It's like she'd just vanished into thin air. "Alison!" Kaiba cried out. She was just gone, and there was nothing he could do to bring her back.
